Mission & Vision

The Habesha Festival was created out of love. Love for our culture, our people, and our community. Our mission is to celebrate the richness of Ethiopian and Eritrean heritage in a way that brings people together, makes them feel seen, and reminds them that they belong. This is not just an event. It is a space where culture lives and breathes through music, food, dance, art, and meaningful connection. It is a place where young people can take pride in who they are, where small businesses can shine, and where families can discover resources they did not know were available to them. We are committed to uplifting Habesha owned businesses and partnering with nonprofits who are doing meaningful work in our communities. By creating a space where culture and support meet, we hope to open doors, build bridges, and create a sense of home for everyone who walks through. Our vision is a future where culture is not only preserved but celebrated openly. A future where youth are inspired to lead, where community members feel supported and empowered, and where everyone, regardless of background, can access the tools and care they need to grow and thrive. The Habesha Festival is about joy, about healing, and about coming together. It is about building something real and lasting. And most of all, it is about creating a space where you know you matter.
